We spotted the King of Batie!
Hey dear pearls!
How are you doing?
We are happy to share these pictures, of the King of BATIE, wearing traditional attire from Ghana, West Africa!
That is the Africa that we are loving!
Traditional african fabric are all about luxury, handmade, timeless and patience...
During the visit of Francis NGANOU in his village, BATIE, in the West region of Cameroon (Central Africa), the King showed a symbol of African Unity. He worn a large boubou dress, in embroidered Kente fabric, from Ghana, West Africa. He paid respect to this traditional attire, by wearing it during an important celebration.
The King also gave a great lesson, to how to promote African traditional attire. The clothing he wore, is for celebrations, for formal occasion...We should follow the example of the King, and wear all the traditional African attire that we have, and which are meant for formal occasion, only during such occasion. This will help promoting, without downgrading the African know-how.
Thank you King!
